Steamy service: Topless 'sexpresso' bars take Washington by storm...but put locals in a bit of a froth

But the titillating service is getting some residents in a quite froth, with county government considering banning anyone under 18 from using the stands.

According to barista Vanessa Olson customers love her store.
Speaking to KATU.com, she said: 'Sex sells, and we're the busiest coffee stand in Kitsap County.'
Over the last 12 months five bars have sprung up, all with names such as Fantasy Espresso, Steamy Grounds and Espresso Gone Crazy.
But not everyone in Port Orchard is happy with the businesses.
Larry Keeton of the County Department of Community Development said several residents had complained.
Speaking to the website, he said local government officials were due to hold a public hearing on August 2 to decide if the bars should be given '18 only' status.
He said that if the laws were passed: 'You [would] have to have someone checking the cars as they go through the line making sure all the occupants are 18.'

But owners of the Sexpresso bars say the regulations would harm not just their own businesses, but the chain of suppliers who they buy from.
He said: 'There's a smaller minority of people trying to speak for a large majority.
'There's a lot of vendors we all use, too. This just doesn't touch those in the stand, but out of the stand as well.'
