This shop worker will surely be hoping the ‘customers must pay for breakages’ rule doesn’t apply to staff after this unfortunate mishap.
The off-licence employee is seen on CCTV calmly stacking a top shelf with red wine on a Monday afternoon in Texas, when all of sudden he realises it is starting to tip.
He moves to the right-hand side of the shelf in a desperate attempt to push it back, but it falls over and hundreds of bottles are sent crashing to the floor.

The employee runs away as the shelf starts to tip to avoid getting crushed by the falling bottles, which create a red lake of wine on the floor.
'Wine shelf collapses', posted on YouTube by 26-year-old American user 'kmeezy1000', has already been viewed more than 135,000 times in one week.

The CCTV clip, which was filmed just after 5pm on Monday, January 31, begins with a man saying: 'Here I am enjoying my nice peaceful afternoon'.
It is unclear whether the man talking over the video is the employee, and in which state the incident took place.
The video has created a stir online, with a number of viral websites picking it up.
YouTube user 'Theezyp' wrote: 'When you spill red wine, just pour some white wine over the top of it.'
Ray Blasdel, 28, commented: 'Working in a grocery store, I've always secretly wanted to see the wine section fall over like that.
'Mind you, our wine aisle is about three times longer, but still it's pretty cool to watch.'
Another user said it could be the employee's fault if he only stacked one part of the shelf and didn't ensure each side was holding equal weight.
